Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall (Monday, February 12, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (February 12, 2024) at 13:36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 16 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, Indian mackerel, pure beef, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp1,860 (4.16%) to Rp46,610 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices decreased the least by Rp90 (1.04%) to Rp8,530 per kg.
