The KPK Secures Rp45 Trillion in Potential State Financial Losses by 2025.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) through its Coordination and Supervision Division reported that it has secured potential state financial losses amounting to Rp45 trillion by 2025.

The largest potential state losses come from the certification of regional property worth Rp32.3 trillion.

Here are the details of the potential state financial losses saved by the KPK in 2025:

• Certification of regional property: Rp32.3 trillion
• Regularization of public infrastructure, facilities, and utilities (PSU): Rp7.2 trillion
• Collection of tax arrears: Rp3.6 trillion
• Regularization of regional property in the form of land and buildings: Rp2.5 trillion
• Regularization of official vehicles: Rp106 billion

The KPK assesses that the large potential state financial losses are driven by weak asset management in local governments.

"Therefore, the KPK encourages the central and local governments to collaborate in optimizing the utilization of State-Owned Assets (BMN) and Regional Assets (BMD), while also conducting evaluations and improvements in local government governance," the KPK wrote on its official Instagram account on Friday (23/1/2026).

In addition to saving potential state financial losses, the KPK also undertakes several efforts to prevent local government budget misuse.

Some of these include facilitating the resolution of problematic asset disputes controlled by third parties; encouraging improvements in grant fund management; and coordinating and supervising corruption prevention in local regions.

"Strengthening governance and oversight systems in local governments is the key to preventing state financial leakages," the KPK wrote.
