Top 10 Regencies/Cities Receiving the Largest Oil and Gas Revenue Sharing in 2020

Based on data from the Ministry of Finance, the Central Government transferred Rp 10.03 trillion in Oil and Gas Revenue Sharing (DBH) funds in 2020. This comprised Rp 7.32 trillion to 128 Regency/City Local Governments (Pemda) and Rp 2.72 trillion to 21 Provincial Local Governments (Pemda).

Of the ten regencies/cities receiving the largest oil and gas DBH funds last year, eight were in Riau, one in East Java, and one in South Sumatra. Bojonegoro received the largest amount, reaching Rp 1.06 trillion in 2020. As is known, the Banyu Urip field in the Cepu Block, Bojonegoro, East Java, is Indonesia's largest oil producer, reaching 210,000 barrels per day, or approximately 30% of Indonesia's oil production.

The next largest recipients of oil and gas DBH in Riau Province were Bengkalis Regency (Rp 664.13 billion), followed by Rokan Hilir Regency (Rp 410.45 billion), Siak Regency (Rp 326.26 billion), Kampar Regency (Rp 286.13 billion), and Indragiri Hilir Regency (Rp 186 billion). Next were Kuantan Singingi Regency (Rp 186.24 billion), Dumai City (Rp 186.24 billion), and Pekanbaru City (Rp 186.24 billion).

Finally, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, received Rp 173.82 billion in DBH.

The total value received by the ten regencies/cities with the largest DBH in the previous year reached Rp 3.7 trillion. This is equivalent to 50.59% of the total DBH transferred to Regencies/Cities, or 36.9% of the total DBH for 2020.
