Jakarta Food Prices Tuesday (May 28th): Chili and Egg Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (28/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, milkfish, red chilies, premium rice, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, shallots, red chilies, red onions, and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp4,790 (10.97%) to Rp48,450 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp2,220 (4.97%) to Rp42,410 per kg.
