Current Food Prices in West Java: Chili, Rice, and Sugar Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (30/8/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 18 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are farmer-level corn, pure beef, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp450 (8.33%) to Rp5,850 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken experienced the steepest decrease of Rp7,310 (20.91%) to Rp27,650 per kg.
