According to reports from the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the value of South Korean investment in Indonesia throughout 2020-2024 reached US$11.3 billion, or approximately Rp185 trillion.

Other sectors: US$3.77 billion (+33%)
Total: US$11.31 billion (+21%)

"[Investment] focuses on downstreaming; the electric vehicle battery ecosystem project is cited as one of the main projects for South Korean investors," said Deputy for Investment Cooperation at BKPM, Tirta Nugraha Mursitama, during the APEC at the Crossroads: Building Bridges for Regional Growth discussion organized by FPCI with The Korea Foundation in Jakarta, Monday (13/10/2025).

BKPM also recorded 30,581 projects undertaken to realize these investments. The absorption of labor reached 299,149 people.
