The Ministry of Finance (MoF) reported that Indonesia's customs and excise revenue realization reached Rp194.9 trillion throughout January-August 2025.

This value grew by 6.4% compared to the same period last year (year-on-year/yoy), which was Rp182.6 trillion.

Revenue in August 2025 also met 64.6% of the target in the State Budget (APBN) and reached 62.8% of the 2025 semester report.

Although growing annually, monthly customs and excise revenue in August 2025 plunged by 17.2%, from Rp28.5 trillion in August 2024 to Rp23.9 trillion in August 2025.

Next, export duties amounted to Rp18.7 trillion. This figure grew significantly by 71.7% (yoy), even exceeding the APBN target by 418.6%. The MoF explained that this rapid growth was driven by the increase in crude palm oil (CPO) prices and the copper concentrate export policy.

Meanwhile, import duties totaled Rp32.2 trillion. This value contracted by 5.1% (yoy) but had already met 60.8% of the APBN target. The decrease in import duty revenue was influenced by trade policies in the food sector and the utilization of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
