The Indonesian government and the House of Representatives (DPR) have agreed to increase the regional transfer budget (TKD) in the 2026 State Budget Draft (RAPBN).

This agreement was reached during a working meeting between the DPR's Budget Board (Banggar) and the Ministry of Finance on Thursday (September 18, 2025).

"The regional transfer, initially set at Rp649.99 trillion, has been increased to Rp692.99 trillion, a rise of Rp43 trillion," said DPR Banggar Chairman Said Abdullah, as quoted by Katadata.co.id.

Despite the increase, the TKD budget in the 2026 RAPBN is still lower than this year's budget of Rp864 trillion.

According to DPR Banggar Chairman Said Abdullah, the change in the TKD budget in the 2026 RAPBN is a follow-up to requests from DPR commissions.

Furthermore, according to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, this adjustment also considers input from local governments to ensure that the benefits of the state budget for regions remain maintained.
