The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) members receive income from basic salaries and various allowances.
The following details the salaries and allowances of DPR members based on the Minister of Finance's Letter No. S-520/MK.02/2015:
* Basic Salary: Rp4,200,000
* Spouse Allowance (10% of basic salary): Rp420,000
* Child Allowance (maximum 2 children x 2% of basic salary): Rp168,000
* Session/Package Allowance: Rp2,000,000
* Position Allowance: Rp9,700,000
* PPh 21 Allowance: Rp2,699,813
* Honorarium Allowance: Rp5,580,000
* Intensive Communication Allowance: Rp15,554,000
* Allowance for Enhanced Supervisory and Budgetary Functions: Rp3,750,000
* Electricity and Telephone Subscription Assistance: Rp7,700,000
* Member Assistant: Rp2,250,000
In addition to the above, DPR members also receive a rice allowance of Rp30,090 per person per month, and a car loan facility of Rp70,000,000 per person per period.
Furthermore, there are travel expenses, consisting of daily allowances ranging from Rp400,000 to Rp500,000 per day, and representation allowances ranging from Rp300,000 to Rp400,000 per day.
There is also a healthcare allowance, the amount of which is not specified, and a pension of 60% of the basic monthly salary.
In addition, there is a budget for the maintenance of official residences ranging from Rp3,000,000 to Rp5,000,000 per month.
The amount of salaries and allowances also differs for DPR members who serve as deputy chairpersons and chairpersons.
According to calculations by the Indonesian Forum for Budget Transparency (FITRA), the following is the total income of DPR members from salaries and allowances based on position:
* DPR Member: Rp66,141,813
* DPR Member concurrently Deputy Chairperson: Rp74,847,613
* DPR Member concurrently Chairperson: Rp80,327,413
Currently, DPR members will receive an additional housing allowance, bringing the total to Rp50,000,000 per month. This was revealed by Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Adies Kadir.
"I think it makes sense if [the housing allowance] is Rp50 million per month. That's for members; the chairperson doesn't get it because they get official residences," said Adies, as reported by Katadata.co.id, Tuesday (19/8/2025).
