Indonesia's 2025 Central Government Spending: Largest Allocation for Public Services

In the 2025 State Budget (APBN), the Indonesian government has allocated Rp2,701.4 trillion for central government spending.

This figure is equivalent to approximately 75% of the total state budget expenditure, which amounts to Rp3,621.3 trillion.

Based on its function, the largest portion of central government spending is allocated to public services.

Quoting the APBN document, spending on public service functions is utilized to improve government performance in providing services to the public, thereby enhancing service quality, efficiency, and eliminating corruption.

Public service spending also includes debt interest payments, tax subsidy spending, grant spending, and other expenditures related to government services.

1. Public Services: Rp850.0 trillion (31.5% of total central government spending)

2. Economy: Rp748.1 trillion (27.7%)

3. Education: Rp285.2 trillion (10.6%)

5. Order and Security: Rp210.3 trillion (7.8%)

6. Defense: Rp166.1 trillion (6.1%)

7. Health: Rp124.5 trillion (4.6%)

8. Housing and Public Facilities: Rp19.8 trillion (0.7%)

9. Religion: Rp13.2 trillion (0.5%)
