Customs and Excise Directorate General Proposes Additional Budget of Rp1.03 Trillion for 2026: Here's the Allocation

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Ministry of Finance proposed an additional budget of Rp1.03 trillion for 2026. Previously, the government had set the indicative budget ceiling for the DJBC at Rp2.25 trillion in 2026. If this proposal is approved, the total budget will be Rp3.29 trillion.

"In line with the Minister of Finance's directives, we have allocated the budget optimally. However, there are still key and strategic work plans that have not yet been allocated a budget," said the Director General of Customs, Djaka Budi Utama, in a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI on Monday (July 14, 2025).

Based on its items, this additional proposal will be allocated mostly to management support, namely Rp897.34 billion. This will be focused on the maintenance and development of Ceisa 4.0; maintenance of sea patrol operational facilities; operational expenditure needs; procurement of surveillance facilities; and renovation of office buildings and employee residences.

Then, Rp124.28 billion will be used for state revenue management. This includes the supervision of illegal imports, narcotics, and customs audits of goods and documents.

Finally, Rp16.56 billion will be allocated to the fiscal policy program, used for strengthening international cooperation such as intelligence exchange, transnational crime countermeasures, and ASEAN tariff harmonization.

"We will use the budget according to the principle of value for money, prioritizing its output and outcome," said Djaka.
