The Attorney General's Office Proposes a 2026 Budgetary Increase of Rp18.53 Trillion: Here's the Allocation

The Indonesian Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has proposed an additional budget of Rp18.53 trillion for 2026.

Previously, the government had set an indicative budget of Rp8.97 trillion for Kejagung in 2026. Therefore, the additional budget increases the total to Rp27.49 trillion.

This proposal was submitted by the Acting Attorney General for Development, R Narendra Jatna, during a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR (House of Representatives) on Monday, July 7, 2025.

The 2026 budget allocation is lower than the 2025 allocation of Rp24.28 trillion.

Of the agreed-upon Rp8.97 trillion 2026 budget, Rp8.62 trillion is allocated for management support programs and Rp347.92 billion for law enforcement and legal services programs.

Meanwhile, Narendra stated that of the proposed additional budget of Rp18.53 trillion, Rp16.68 trillion will be allocated for management support programs and Rp1.85 trillion for law enforcement and legal services programs.

This additional budget proposal was also officially submitted through a letter from the Attorney General to the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas and the Minister of Finance on June 10, 2025.

In this working meeting, Commission III of the DPR received and approved Kejagung's indicative budget of approximately Rp8.97 trillion for 2026 and will advocate for the additional Rp18.53 trillion, resulting in a total Kejagung budget of Rp27.49 trillion for 2026.
