East Java Food Prices Tuesday (21/5): Oil, Rice, and Beef Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (21/5/2024) at 16.21 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, red chili peppers, bulk cooking oil, dry soybean (import), and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp880 (2.36%) to Rp38,100 per kg. Mackerel saw the lowest price decrease of Rp440 (1.31%) to Rp33,170 per kg.
