West Java Food Prices on Friday (September 6th): Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (6/9/2024) at 14.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, granulated sugar, shallots, mackerel, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, milkfish, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp580 (1.51%) to Rp38,940 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, by Rp390 (1.13%) to Rp34,120 per kg.
