Top 10 Best-Selling Pet Food Companies in Indonesia 2023

Based on data compiled by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the sales value of pet food in Indonesia reached US$237 million in 2023. This represents a significant 24.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase.

"The significant increase in 2023 was driven by the growth of the middle class, changing mindsets towards pet care, and increasing awareness of the importance of proper pet nutrition," the USDA wrote in its report.

Thailand-based company Charoen Pokphand Group dominated the Indonesian pet food market, holding a 30.9% share of total sales in 2023.

It was followed by Mars Inc., which achieved a 19.3% market share. This company oversees well-known pet food brands such as Royal Canin, Sheba, and Whiskas.
