The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that North Maluku's economy was valued at Rp95.78 trillion based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) in 2024.
Meanwhile, when measured based on the GRDP at constant 2024 prices (ADHK), North Maluku's economy reached Rp55.15 trillion, growing by 13.37% compared to the previous year.
This growth was the highest compared to other provinces and higher than the national GDP growth of 5.03%.
The province's economy was supported by the manufacturing industry, which grew by 24.69%; mining and quarrying, 9.91%; and wholesale and retail trade, 4.24%.
The provinces with the next highest growth were Central Sulawesi (9.89%); East Kalimantan (6.17%); Bali (5.48%); Southeast Sulawesi (5.39%); and North Sulawesi (5.39%). Maluku also grew by 5.34%; West Nusa Tenggara by 5.3%; South Kalimantan by 5.05%; and North Sumatra by 5.03%.

Due to regional expansion, the economic growth of six provinces in Papua cannot be compared to the previous year. The following is the GRDP by business field based on constant 2010 prices for these provinces:
