Current Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Chilies, Sugar, and Rice Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (13/11/2024) at 16.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, granulated sugar, shallots, milkfish, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, fine iodized salt, dry soybean (import), red chilies, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp1,810 (5.28%) to Rp36,070 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most by Rp250 (1.22%) to Rp20,180 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on November 13, 2024, at 16.28 WIB.

6. Milkfish: Rp32,910 per kg (up 0.34%)
7. Mackerel: Rp31,770 per kg (up 1.53%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,020 per kg (up 1.01%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,780 per kg (up 0.43%)
10. Red Chili (Keriting): Rp20,180 per kg (down 1.22%)
