Food Prices in Central Java, Thursday (May 16th): What's the Price of Chicken?

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (16/5/2024) at 15:49 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, shallot bulbs, red chilies, iodized fine salt, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, farmer-level corn, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp650 (5.65%), reaching Rp12,150 per kg. Meanwhile, skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp1,230 (3.96%), reaching Rp29,860 per kg.
