President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has increased the performance allowance (tukin) for employees at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK).
This decision is stipulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 102 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees within Kemenko PMK, enacted on September 30, 2024.
"In accordance with the achievements of the bureaucratic reform implementation, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture has met the criteria for an adjustment of performance allowances,"
Based on the Presidential Regulation, this performance allowance is given to employees with job grades 1-17.
The lowest performance allowance is for job grade 1, amounting to Rp2.53 million per month, up from the previous Rp1.96 million per month.
Meanwhile, the highest is for job grade 17, amounting to Rp33.24 million per month, up from the previous Rp29.08 million per month.
Specifically for the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, currently held by Muhadjir Effendy, the performance allowance given is 150% of the highest performance allowance value. Therefore, Muhadjir receives a performance allowance of Rp49.86 million per month.
This performance allowance is not given to Kemenko PMK employees who do not hold a specific position, are temporarily dismissed, or have been dismissed from their organic position.
The performance allowance is also not given to employees who are on leave without government support, or are in a period of leave of absence for retirement preparation.

With this change, the previous regulation, Perpres 112/2017 concerning Performance Allowances for Employees within Kemenko PMK, is no longer valid.
