Current Food Prices in West Java: Oil and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (3/12/2024) at 15.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, garlic bulbs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, milkfish, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp110 (1.08%) to Rp10,290 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp520 (8.6%) to Rp5,530 per kg.
