Latest Food Prices in East Java: Rice Up, Chilies Down (Sunday, February 25, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (25/2/2024) at 08.14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, premium rice, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp4,930 (17.61%) to Rp32,930 per kg. The price of mackerel decreased the lowest by Rp2,180 (6.58%) to Rp30,970 per kg.
