South Sumatra's Food Prices Today: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (3/11/2024) at 14.41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, medium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, premium rice, granulated sugar, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp3,250 (9.9%) to Rp36,090 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp220 (1.04%) to Rp20,930 per kg.
