Rice Prices in Traditional Markets of Papua Province Decreased by 1.47% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the price of rice in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp16,800. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, as is the price trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the price of rice in traditional markets has decreased from Rp17,050.

Meanwhile, the price of rice in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has fallen by 0.59%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the price of rice in traditional markets in Papua Province is traded at Rp16,900.

The record high for rice prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in August 2017 with an increase of 12.39%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in September 2016 with a decrease of -11.33%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show seven commodities decreased and 13 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium I Quality Rice, and Medium II Quality Rice.

6. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp22,450 per kg (unchanged)
7. Garlic per Kg Rp56,000 per kg (down 1.75%)
8. Chili Peppers per Kg Rp97,500 per kg (up 8.94%)
9. Red Chili per Kg Rp66,500 per kg (down 4.66%)
10. Rice per Kg Rp16,500 per kg (down 0.3%)
