Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Oil Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (25/11/2024) at 14.10 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, kembung fish, broiler chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), fine iodized salt, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp70 (0.41%) to Rp17,130 per liter. Red chili peppers saw the largest price decrease of Rp850 (2.16%) to Rp38,530 per kg.
