Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chicken and Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (13/6/2024) at 09.19 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, premium rice, and fine iodized salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, simple packaged cooking oil, and shallots have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase of Rp830 (8.22%) to Rp10,930 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp480 (8.96%) to Rp4,880 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp33,650 per kg (down 3.08%)
8. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (down 6.04%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,650 per kg (down 2.48%)
