Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili, Onion, and Red Chili Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (September 1, 2025) at 1:18 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 17 increased and 6 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include premium rice, packaged wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, consumption sugar, large red chili, dried soybean seeds (imported), and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp1,333 (4.88%) to Rp28,672 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp905 (3.21%) to Rp27,266 per kg.

7. Garlic Bulb: Rp30,164 per kg (up 0.44%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp28,672 per kg (up 4.88%)
9. Large Red Chili: Rp27,266 per kg (down 3.21%)
