Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Onion, Oil, and Rice Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (18/11/2024) at 2 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 4 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, milkfish, shallots, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, fine iodized salt, red chili peppers, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp90 (1.53%) to Rp5,990 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers saw the steepest decrease, dropping by Rp600 (1.42%) to Rp41,620 per kg.

7. Milkfish: Rp33,250 per kg (up 0.82%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,090 per kg (up 0.88%)
9. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp29,140 per kg (up 1.15%)
