Latest Food Prices in South Kalimantan: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Tuesday, January 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Kalimantan today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (16/1/2024) at 10:44 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, red chili peppers, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp2,770 (6.12%) to Rp48,020 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease of Rp2,300 (7.81%) to Rp27,140 per kg.
