West Java Food Price Update Today: Fish Prices Up, Corn Prices Down (Friday, November 24, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at 09:21 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased.

The price of kembung fish increased the most, by 2.37% or Rp940, reaching Rp40,570 per kg.

Next, the prices of granulated sugar and bulk wheat flour increased by 1.21% or Rp200 to Rp16,700 per kg and 0.85% or Rp90 to Rp10,740 per kg, respectively.

The price of bulk cooking oil increased by Rp90 or 0.6% to Rp15,130 per liter, pure beef by Rp620 or 0.47% to Rp133,230 per kg, and dried imported soybeans by Rp50 or 0.42% to Rp11,980 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, milkfish, shallots, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of farmer-level corn decreased by 3.53% or Rp220 to Rp6,020 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in West Java.

The price of milkfish was recorded at Rp36,300 per kg, down 2.99%, shallots decreased to Rp28,430 per kg from Rp29,100 per kg previously, and skipjack tuna decreased by Rp830 to Rp36,580 per kg.
