Indonesia's Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (18/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, premium rice, broiler chicken, granulated sugar, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, medium rice, milkfish, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp2,630 (4.49%) to Rp61,260 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean (import) decreased the most by Rp60 (0.5%) to Rp12,050 per kg.
