Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Rice, Onion, and Chicken Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (3/5/2024) at 17:22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, granulated sugar, curly red chilies, milkfish, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, medium-grain rice, red chili peppers, iodized fine salt, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase of Rp700 (2.24%) to Rp31,930 per kg. The price of red chili peppers saw the lowest decrease of Rp960 (2.06%) to Rp45,620 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas as of May 3, 2024, at 17:22 WIB.
