Household Goods, Equipment, and Routine Maintenance Costs in Metro City Increased by 0.27% in February

In February, the price of household equipment components contributing to inflation in Metro City was 0.27%. This figure is lower than the previous month's 0.53%. Among the seven inflation groups measured in this area, the group of household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance contributed -0.42% to inflation in Metro City.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance in Metro City was at 101.02 in February 2024, higher than the previous month's 100.75.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation for household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance has fallen by 21% (year on year/yoy). Compared to the beginning of the year, the prices of components contributing to inflation in Metro City have grown by 0.27% (year to date/ytd).

Based on BPS survey data from February 2024, these 11 inflation groups ranked sixth compared to other subgroups.

Overall inflation in February 2024 at the national level was 0.37%, down from the previous month (month to month/m-to-m). Compared to the beginning of the year, national overall inflation reached 0.37% (ytd), and compared to February 2023, inflation fell by 7.52% (yoy).
