Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (29/12/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, garlic bulbs, premium rice, medium rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, mackerel fish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most by Rp2,190 (4.24%) to Rp53,810 per kg. The price of bulk wheat flour decreased the most sharply by Rp370 (4.12%) to Rp8,610 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas on December 29, 2024, at 09.44 WIB.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp36,900 per kg (up 1.96%)
7. Mackerel Fish: Rp34,460 per kg (down 0.72%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,050 per kg (up 2.04%)
9. Milkfish: Rp27,910 per kg (unchanged)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,010 per kg (down 0.84%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,760 per liter (down 0.37%)
12. Sugar: Rp17,350 per kg (down 0.97%)
