Sumatera Selatan Food Prices Tuesday (November 12th): Rice and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (12/11/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, shallots, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), SPHP rice, milkfish, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp1,230 (3.31%) to Rp38,350 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk wheat flour saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp240 (2.69%) to Rp8,680 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp32,350 per kg (down 1.19%)
7. Milkfish: Rp27,040 per kg (down 1.31%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,800 per kg (up 0.94%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,140 per kg (down 0.27%)
10. Curly Red Chili: Rp21,210 per kg (down 1.71%)
11. Packaged Cooking Oil (Simple): Rp17,800 per liter (up 0.06%)
