Latest Food Prices in West Java: Cooking Oil Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (5/1/2025) at 09.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, milkfish, red chilies, mackerel, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, SPHP rice, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil experienced the highest price increase of Rp680 (3.72%), reaching Rp18,980 per liter. Red onion prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp3,190 (8.35%) to Rp35,030 per kg.
