East Java Food Prices, Monday (August 12th): What's the Price of Chicken?

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (12/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, broiler chicken, SPHP rice, premium rice, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, bulk cooking oil, mackerel, shallots, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp820 (8.82%) to Rp10,120 per kg. Skipjack tuna prices saw the sharpest decrease, falling Rp3,810 (12.48%) to Rp26,730 per kg.
