Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra Region: Chicken Meat and Sugar Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (October 21, 2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are broiler eggs, bulk cooking oil, red onions, Minyakita, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, mackerel, pure beef, milkfish, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp981 (2.07%) to Rp48,481 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish price dropped the most by Rp180 (0.63%) to Rp28,356 per kg.

6. Red Onion: Rp37,476 per kg (up 1.76%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,879 per kg (up 0.42%)
8. Whole Head Garlic: Rp33,968 per kg (up 0.63%)
9. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,867 per kg (up 0.3%)
10. Milkfish: Rp28,356 per kg (down 0.63%)
11. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,311 per kg (up 0.12%)
