South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Fish Prices Up, Wheat Flour Prices Down (Saturday, December 16, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra have been observed to increase today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 08.50 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), milkfish, chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase of Rp2,890 (7.94%), reaching Rp39,280 per kg. The price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the lowest decrease of Rp410 (3.11%), reaching Rp12,790 per kg.

6. Red Onions: Rp35,040 per kg (up 5.35%)
7. Chicken Meat: Rp30,520 per kg (up 1.09%)
8. Milkfish: Rp29,830 per kg (up 5.18%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,140 per kg (down 0.81%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,750 per kg (up 0.15%)
