Today's Food Prices in West Java, February 26: Rice Rises, Red Chili Falls

Several food commodity prices in West Java today were observed to drop compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 26, 2026) at 17:28 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 8 decreased in price.

The commodities that saw price increases are medium rice and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, curly red chili, broiler chicken meat, red bird's eye chili, and beef hind leg decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice saw the highest increase of Rp9 (0.07%) to Rp13,084 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili had the sharpest drop of Rp1,660 (4.03%) to Rp39,525 per kg.

4. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp40,247 per kg (down 0.18%)
5. Shallots: Rp40,068 per kg (down 0.75%)
6. Large Red Chili: Rp39,525 per kg (down 4.03%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,907 per kg (down 0.63%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp31,074 per kg (up 0.04%)
9. Premium Packed Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,324 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,499 per liter (unchanged)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,556 per kg (down 0.1%)
