Today's Food Prices in East Java: Rice and Oil Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (1/12/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), mackerel, red chili peppers, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp1,280 (4.34%) to Rp30,750 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply by Rp200 (3.71%) to Rp5,190 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on December 1, 2024, at 09.12 WIB.

6. Mackerel: Rp33,110 per kg (down 0.06%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,750 per kg (up 4.34%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,550 per kg (up 1.03%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp23,830 per kg (down 2.77%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp18,280 per kg (up 0.94%)
11. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,050 per liter (up 0.12%)
