Daily Price of Branded Packaged Cooking Oil in Modern Markets, April 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 4:23 PM WIB, the daily price of branded packaged cooking oil in modern markets in South Sumatra Province showed no change compared to the previous day, consistent with the trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of branded packaged cooking oil in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp21,550 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of branded packaged cooking oil in modern markets in South Sumatra over the past three months has decreased by 7.88%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of branded packaged cooking oil in modern markets in South Sumatra Province is traded at Rp24,100 per kg.

The highest price increase for branded packaged cooking oil in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2022, with an increase of 28.11%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2023, with a decrease of -14.01%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sumatra show five commodities decreased and 18 increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Grade I Low-Quality Rice, Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Grade II Low-Quality Rice, and Grade I Medium-Quality Rice.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in South Sumatra Province:

2. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil (Brand 2) per kg: Rp20,600 per kg (up 0.49%)
3. Medium-Sized Shallots per kg: Rp49,700 per kg (unchanged)
4. Grade I Low-Quality Rice per kg: Rp15,000 per kg (down 7.69%)
5. Green Chili per kg: Rp94,500 per kg (up 110.47%)
6. Shallots per kg: Rp49,700 per kg (unchanged)
7. Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp17,500 per kg (unchanged)
8. Rice per kg: Rp14,950 per kg (down 7.14%)
9. Grade 2 Beef per kg: Rp157,950 per kg (up 13.06%)
10. Fresh Layer Eggs per kg: Rp31,000 per kg (up 16.1%)
