Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chicken Price Up, Chili Price Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (13/11/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, shallots, garlic bulbs, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,530 (4.55%) to Rp35,140 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp2,340 (5.64%) to Rp39,150 per kg.
