What is Gojek's Contribution to the Indonesian National Economy?

Go-Jek, an online transportation service company, contributes Rp 8.2 trillion per year to the Indonesian economy. This contribution is in the form of income received by its driver partners, reaching Rp 386.6 billion per month. This contribution is the result of a study conducted by the Demography Institute of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LD FEB UI).

Furthermore, the company founded by Nadiem Makarim also contributes Rp 1.7 trillion per year to the economy through partnerships with Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) or Rp 136.6 billion per month. Therefore, Go-Jek's total contribution to the national economy is Rp 9.9 trillion per year. According to the same survey, 89% of consumers stated that Go-Jek has had a positive impact on society in general.

The LD FEB UI survey involved more than 7,500 respondents, consisting of 3,315 two-wheeled driver partners, 3,465 consumers, and 806 active MSME partners in the last month. Respondents represent the population of driver partners, MSME partners, and consumers in nine regions, including Jabodetabek, Bandung, Bali, and Makassar.
