Banten Food Prices Saturday (August 3rd): Prices of Chicken, Chilies, and Beef Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (3/8/2024) at 14:48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp2,010 (22.46%) to Rp10,960 per kg. Mackerel experienced the largest price decrease of Rp910 (2.45%) to Rp36,260 per kg.
