In the 2024 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), the government has allocated a total of Rp3,325.1 trillion for state expenditure.
Approximately 68% of this budget is allocated to seven priority spending sectors, with education being the highest priority.
Here is a breakdown of the priority expenditure budget in the 2024 APBN by sector, ordered from largest to smallest:
1. Education: Rp665 trillion (20% of the total 2024 APBN expenditure budget)
* Improvement of access and quality of education (PIP, KIP Kuliah, BOS, BOP PAUD, certification, scholarships);
* Improvement of educational infrastructure, especially in 3T regions;
* Strengthening *link and match* with the job market (vocational training and certification).
2. Social Protection: Rp496.8 trillion (14.9%)
* Eradication of extreme poverty (PKH, Sembako Card);
* Strengthening lifelong social protection;
* Strengthening graduation from poverty (the Sentra Kreasi Atensi program as a vehicle for entrepreneurship).
3. Infrastructure: Rp423.4 trillion (12.7%)
* Infrastructure supporting economic transformation (information and communication technology, energy, food, connectivity);
* Phased and sustainable development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN).
4. Law and Defense-Security (Hankam): Rp331.9 trillion (10%)
* Procurement of defense equipment, maintenance of defense equipment and facilities;
* Support for the security of the 2024 General Election and IKN;
* Operational activities of law and defense-security.
5. Health: Rp187.5 trillion (5.6%)
* Acceleration of *stunting* reduction;
* Improvement of access and quality of health services;
* Strengthening the National Health Insurance (JKN).
6. Food Security: Rp114.3 trillion (3.4%)
* Increasing domestic food production;
* Strengthening national food reserves.
7. IKN Development: Rp18.5 trillion (1.2%)
* Access to toll roads to IKN;
* Construction of the core area, palace, and ministerial offices;
* Construction of ASN apartment buildings and ministerial houses;
* Electricity infrastructure.
