Karanganyar Regency residents' expenditure on other fresh meat: Rp10,13 per capita per week

The average expenditure of residents in Karanganyar Regency for purchasing other fresh meat in 2023 was Rp10.13 per capita per week. This figure is lower than the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp10.42 per capita per week.

Average per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and non-food) by the total population.

According to BPS, this decrease in expenditure is due to the monthly inflation rate (month-to-month) in this region, which reached 5.53%. Meanwhile, economic growth in 2023 was recorded at 5.53%.

The five largest expenditures of residents for meat groups in Karanganyar Regency, in descending order, are: broiler chicken Rp4,783.85 per capita per week, free-range chicken Rp614.82 per capita per week, beef Rp555.55 per capita per week, other preserved meat Rp303.43 per capita per week, and the lowest expenditure is for mutton/lamb at Rp2.03 per capita per week.

According to a publication by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.39 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure increased by 27.21% compared to March 2022, which was Rp1.1 million per capita per month.

Based on region, the highest expenditure for purchasing other fresh meat is in Malinau Regency and the lowest is in Badung Regency. Karanganyar Regency's expenditure for purchasing other fresh meat ranks 409th. Meanwhile, the national average per capita expenditure for purchasing other fresh meat is Rp229 per capita per week.
