Riau Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Sunday, January 14, 2024)

The price of several food commodities in Riau today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (14/1/2024) at 09.27 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, pure beef, medium rice, iodized fine salt, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, red chili peppers, farmer-level corn, dry soybean (import), and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,070 (10.72%) to Rp11,050 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp4,290 (10.46%) to Rp36,740 per kg.
