Today's Food Prices in Yogyakarta, Indonesia: What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (18/5/2024) at 15.13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, premium rice, pure beef, dry soybean (import), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, farmer-level corn, milkfish, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,460 (4.72%), reaching Rp32,420 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp560 (11.07%), reaching Rp4,500 per kg.
