Latest Food Prices in Jakarta: Prices of Oil, Chili Peppers, and Eggs Increase

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (18/9/2024) at 08.37 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, pure beef, premium rice, medium rice, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, milkfish, iodized fine salt, garlic cloves, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,930 (10.9%) to Rp40,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken experienced the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp10,150 (28.08%) to Rp26,000 per kg.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (up 2.5%)
2. Garlic Cloves: Rp40,000 per kg (down 1.28%)
3. Curly Red Chilies: Rp40,000 per kg (up 10.9%)
4. Red Chili Peppers: Rp40,000 per kg (down 7.9%)
5. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (up 0.43%)
6. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 21.03%)
7. Red Onion: Rp30,000 per kg (down 2.18%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 15.56%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 2.38%)
10. Broiler Chicken: Rp26,000 per kg (down 28.08%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 3.6%)
