Bulk Cooking Oil Prices in Traditional Markets for March 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Information Center (PIHPS) dashboard at 16:44 WIB, the daily bulk cooking oil price in traditional markets of East Java province has not changed compared to the previous day, just like the price trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily bulk cooking oil price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp19,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily bulk cooking oil price in traditional markets of East Java over the past three months has increased by 7.3% from the previously recorded Rp17,800 per kg.

The record increase in daily bulk cooking oil prices in traditional markets of this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with a 30.83% rise, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in February 2017 with a -22.36% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in East Java show that 12 commodities decreased and 18 others increased. The sembako with decreasing prices are Chicken Eggs, Medium-sized Shallots, Garlic, Shallots, Medium-sized Garlic, Fresh Free-range Chicken Eggs, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Local Granulated Sugar, Curly Red Chili, Red Chili, Granulated Sugar, and Large Red Chili.

Below are the prices of nine staple foods monitored by PIHPS today compared to their price trends over the past month in East Java province:

5. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp73,800 per kg (up 4.46%)
6. Garlic per Kg Rp51,200 per kg (down 3.31%)
7. Chicken Meat per Kg Rp45,350 per kg (up 0.78%)
8. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per Kg Rp20,100 per kg (up 0.25%)
9. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per Kg Rp20,450 per kg (up 1.24%)
10. Beef per Kg Rp167,400 per kg (up 0.45%)
11. Shallots per Kg Rp42,200 per kg (down 15.77%)
12. Low Grade I Rice per Kg Rp14,250 per kg (up 1.06%)
